What are the best ways to get around?
Union Pacific Railroad has a convenient commuter station in Downtown Crystal Lake, and another station planned for the east side of the community in 1999. Commuter express trains carry passengers to the Loop in about 60 minutes.
PACE buses are available on a Dial-a-ride basis for transportaiton within the PACE bus system area. For information, call 815.455.5900.
The county's motor routes include 7 Federal highways, 1 state route and Interstate 90. 
Lake in the Hills Airport has storage for private planes and a runway of 3,000 feet. 
Amtrak and Greyhound are easily accessible from Crystal Lake.
